Success

The R&D Process

We have been up to some intense R&D lately and I’m going to share my thoughts on the R&D process. I don’t take too kindly to it – it’s incredibly frustrating and long and it feels at best like you’re going round in circles and at worst like you’re going backwards.

The True Meaning of Success?

This is a speech I wrote and delivered at my Graduation Ceremony in 2017 in front of nearly 1,000 guests. I thought I’d share it on my website as I think it is still as relevant today and helps me gain perspective.

The personal side of success

Looking back on the past 4 years, University has been a time of immense growth. For those who don’t know, I have had a medical condition since I was 13 that in some respects made me different. I was not allowed to drink, or learn to drive, continue playing sport or be an independent teenager exploring the world with friends like so many of my peers.

The attention to detail is unparalleled and the grandeur is something that only decades of knowledge and vision can conjure.

Take the rough with the smooth

So this week I wanted to highlight a disappointment that I had in regards to Lucy Rose. I am documenting my journey and I think it’s only right to take you through not only the highs, but the lows too. Over the summer, I applied for an Innovate UK Grant which are highly competitive. I found out last week that unfortunately, I didn’t get it.
