Hello Roses,

This blog post is going to be as humanly raw as possible. I’m going to open myself up and let you into my real world. Let’s start with a Lucy Rose update. We are working on the LR5 (or fifth prototype) which will be better than the last one and will be the one that some actual women other than myself can try on! It will also be the first pair which will be an exciting milestone – the previous version was just a left foot! The legal side of the product is going through as we speak, meaning that AT SOME POINT SOON, I can start to take the gaffe tape off my mouth and actually explain what the hell Lucy Rose actually does!

But now I want to talk a little bit about me – the founder – I want you all to get to know me and hopefully we can start to connect on a human level. My name is Emily and I’m 26 years old. I’m pretty goddamn scared about what I’m embarking on but it’ll never stop me. My strengths include finding the humour in most situations (I’m incredibly sarcastic) and seeing a strategic overview of a project. My weaknesses include stubbornness (my mum can vouch for that!) and a very real sense of self-doubt which I am working on – but then again aren’t we all in one way or another? I’m not terribly good at spending a lot of time on details, especially if the subject matter bores me (for example puzzles – I just don’t get them). Rest assured, there have been many moments of intense detail analysis spent on Lucy Rose though!

I’m going to try my hand at an Instagram Live soon, to connect to you all and get to know you all. I’m interested in other people, their experiences, and how we can help each other. That’s the real meaning behind ‘socialising’ isn’t it?! Please get involved and let’s connect on a human level.
